Bear

Bear has been a real angel. Since, we brought him home he has had free range of the house and he has not had any problem. He gets along with all the neighborhood dogs and loves all the neighborhood kids. As a matter of fact, one day he was surrounded by about eight kids. He just stood there calmly and let them all pet him. Last night we had a little get together with about 10 people and Bear just hung out in the dining room. Really, he has just been an all around great dog. It's hard to believe that someone would have neglected him. He still has some quirky habits but I hope to eventually work all that out with time. I've attached a few photos from today. I'll have to get one with the kids, because they really can't get enough of Bear. I'm not sure if you have ever seen Bear, but he has gained a little weight. He's still skinny but he's looking much better. Also, this week was another big step forward with toys: Bear was willing to play tug a war. Also, he no longer pulls on walks for cats, rabbits, and squirrels. We're still working on not pulling for dogs. This week we're going to start an obedience class. So, I'm hoping we can work that one out by having dogs work near him. Joe

Buster

Well, his name is Tristan, and he's about 110 lbs now. He's absolutely georgous. We've been thru basic obedience training, and MOST of the time he does VERY well! He's 11 mos. old as of the 20th of May, and a very happy, healthy, exhuberant puppy! :) I live in Norfolk, and this year, Tristan and I marched in the St. Patrick's Day parade with the Irish American Society. We have a friend who has a 165lb Irish Wolfhound--he's the only dog who makes Tristan look small! :) Tristan and Einstein also attended the recent Dock Dogs event at the local Care-A-Lot here in Norfolk. He didn't do any dock-diving, but enjoyed the heck out of meeting new people and dogs, and he did really well. Tristan has another dog-mate named Blue Dog (Blue Dobermann), and 3 cats that he interacts with as well, so although he's interested in birds and squirrels (although he will turn his attention when told to "leave it") he doesn't typically care what the cats are up to at all. We go for 2 walks a day, and whenever the weather permits, we head to the beach for some "run-around" time. :) He's the best puppy on the planet, and it's really a joy to watch him grow up

Mandy

These are our 4-legged babies! We adopted Beckett and Mandy last fall, Spidey (the black shepherd) loves his new buddies :) This picture was taken shortly after we got them.

Legend

My wife Joan and I adopted him last August. He is an awesome Great Dane and quickly became a huge part of our family. I take him for 4 mile walks in the morning and another half mile in the evening. He loves and plays with our dog Molly every night. He is a ball of energy but then crashes either on my lap on the couch and then in the bed with us each night. He is a wonderful addition to our family and we love him very much.
