Surrenders and Courtesy Posts

Courtesy Posts:

We often post adoptable dogs as a courtesy to other rescues or shelters.  We hope that by providing their dogs greater exposure to potential adopters, we will help them place these deserving animals into good homes.   As a courtesy post, the dog will remain in your custody.  We will screen and process applications for your dog, using the same criteria we do for the dogs in MTM Rescue. (Please see ABOUT US and FAQs on our website).  Any application that is fully approved will be sent to you to review, and to contact the applicant to coordinate a meet & greet/adoption.  We ask only that you keep us informed of your dog's status. Please contact us by email, intake@mastiffstomutts.org with your your full name, street address and contact number, a picture of your dog, a brief bio including breed, age, spayed/neutered, and the reason the dog can not stay with you.

Surrendering:

If you prefer to surrender your dog to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue, it cannot have a bite history, and it must be able to live peacefully with other dogs. Our dogs are adopted by individuals or families, and we must be certain that under normal circumstances, the dog will never be a danger to anyone in the family. All of our foster homes have their own dogs. Therefore, we cannot take a dog that shows aggression toward other dogs.  Please complete the /info/file?file=31038.pdf and send it in, with pictures of the dog, to info@mastiffstomutts.org

**Note: Completing the Owner Surrender Questionnaire does not guarantee the dog will be accepted into MTM Rescue.

We do not charge a surrender fee, although donations are encouraged.  If you are unable to provide recent veterinary records for your dog at the time of surrender, MTM will ensure your dog has a health examination, spayed/neutered and given appropriate vaccinations and parasite prevention prior to being placed in an approved foster or adoptive home.  Most people do make a donation at the time of surrender--and often follow up with a second donation later.
