We adopted Junior about 11 months ago. The idea was to get a smaller, lap-type of dog who would learn from the 2 older dogs we currently have. Based on his mother who weighed about 20 pounds, we figured Junior would fit the bill perfectly. What we didn't take into account was Junior's father who was unknown. From day one Junior's appetite was more along the lines of a Great Dane than a Cocker Spaniel. However, my wife insisted on raising him as a lap dog - so here we are - with a 40 to 50 pound dog who insists he is indeed a lap dog.
