Rainbow Bridge
![]() Rascal was one of those dogs tied out in a back lot. He came to us and was adopted by a family not committed to a lifetime pet. So back to us Rascal came. He was fostered by a volunteer and family member. 6 months later he was diagnosed with bone cancer. By then he was well loved and had a committed owner, his foster momma Jessica. Rascal was stoic until the very end 3 1/2 yrs after being diagnosed. He lived for his owner and is very much missed. ![]() Thanks to NINA BUCK, Greta lived with dignity and happiness for the time she had left. ![]() This beautiful girl was loved by many. She had an obstruction and surgery, that she could not recover from.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then together you and your special pet cross the Rainbow Bridge... --Author Unknown ![]() In Memory of Conan Davies September 12, 2013 – February 19, 2015 Your life was way too short at 17 months but we hope that somewhere, maybe in your heart, you knew that you were loved during your time with us. We don’t understand what happened, maybe a brain tumor or maybe a genetic defect, but we loved you just the same. We still cry for you, my most handsome boy. Our only consolation is that we hope that you are finally whole and at peace at the rainbow bridge. Your ashes will remain with us as this was your forever home and always will be. We love you and miss you Cona-Bologna… |
