Boerboel Mastiff : : Female
Brief description: Meet Queen! Queen is an energetic 11 month old who loves her family. She loves playing tug, catch the ball and fetching sticks. She does well with well-mannered dogs. Queen is very respectful of the things in the house and is careful not to drop, chew or bump into anything in her foster home (she is big and she knows it). She enjoys hiking and going for long walks with a strong and assertive leader. On her walks she tries to tug but is very responsive to verbal commands. She also enjoys sprawling on the couch while she waits to play or go out for a walk. Queen has great manners and is both house- and crate-trained in addition to knowing many different commands. She sure is a leader and has a strong personality. She is most happy when she is with people. She will need a family that has experience with large, assertive breeds. Likes: Queen loves to play rough. She can chew a ball, a bone, a rope .. anything you give her gets played to bits. She loves it. She loves chasing and being chased. She is clumsy when she stops mid way through her run. Dislikes: CATS. Queen hates being left alone. She will lie around on the floor next to you, on the ground, on the floor, in a pile of books, anywhere as long as she is with you. She will use you as a pillow whenever she can. She still thinks she is a lap dog and will try and fit into your lap. Personality: She is a big goofball. She would run up and down looking for her foster family kids even if they are in the same room. She has learned to open doors with her mouth, so when you’re sleeping in she would open the door and be in your bed waking you up. She is a very intelligent dog. She is not a dog that licks a lot. Temperament: she is very calm and patient when you need her to be. She will sit still when asked to. Rest of the time she is a BIG puppy. She is a little shy to new things. But warms up really quick. Energy level: she does have a lot of stamina. She can hike, run and play without stopping. Favorite activities: playing tug is her most favorite game. Good with dogs, and kids over 6?: she is very good with kids. She needs a home that has a strong and assertive leader who she can look up to. She will need continued training and socialization. What would be the best kind of home?An ideal home for Queen would be an active family with experience. Elliot City, MD.
