Gunner is a super guy whose pictures really don't do him justice. What you can't see, along with his glossy black coat, is that the tips of the hair on his tail are golden, as are the backs of his legs. What a combination! Many of us would pay a great deal at a salon for this look! Barely a year old and just out of puppyhood, he has an incredible personality. Friendly and outgoing, he is also very trainable. He is ready and eager to learn anything you want to teach him. Do you see how his tail is somewhat blurred in his picture? That's because it is wagging so hard! He does that a lot. It means pure joy at simply being alive. And when he looks upon someone who cares for him, it means "I love you" He is currently living with his best friend, Rutger, also listed on our site, and he just adores him. He has learned to be a could canine friend and would be a great companion for a current dog you already have, or can be adopted with his best friend and idol, Rutger. A ready made family of happy dogs! He loves to ride in vehicle and to have fun! In fact, he loves to do anything his person wants to do. He would so enjoy going for walks or runs with you, biking, hiking, camping, or just playing with a ball in your backyard. Picture him curled up at your feet each evening, and at your side during the day.

 

Gunnar is in a foster home and loving life with his 4 legged pals.... and he LOVES playing in the little kiddie pool... he made himself right at home and will quickly get up to a good weight (he's underweight right now). He's a really super dog...
RECENT UPDATE FROM HIS FOSTER He gets so excited around people, but he only wants a hug, not being mean at all.  No meaness anywhere in this dog.  He is 98% housebroken, which is really great, and the few accidents that there are happen when I am not there and he just "has" to go! So, he's learning really fast on this one. Gunnar also knows sit, paw, lie down, stay (not for long, but he knows to put his butt on the floor), always comes when called.  He has so much to offer..... like a sponge, he is so easy to train. He wants to please.
