Description:
BRUNO IS LOCATED IN FLORENCE, NJ. Bruno is a handsome 90 lb brindle English Mastiff that MTM rescued with 4 other pups from a neglect/hoarding situation. He has been living with a foster and learning the ropes - playtime, walks, safe spaces, safe people, getting pets, reliable food, and love. Likes: Bruno likes sleeping, eating, playing with toys, other dogs, going for walks, and he tends to favor women. Dislikes: Stairs & the dreaded crate. Personality: Mellow...chill...laid back... You can clean his paws, wipe his face, take things out of his mouth - he's pretty relaxed about everything. Temperament: Calm - to go with his mellow personality. :) Energy level: Low Favorite activities: Going for walks! And he loves toys. :) Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: Bruno is good with both larger dogs and adults. Children, small dogs, and cats are unknown as he's had no exposure. Not good with: unknown Housetrained: Yes! - Bruno has officially succeeded and is now potty trained! His cues are subtle, but once you learn them you'll know when he needs to go out. Crate trained: No - he's not a fan of the crate. :( Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Yes. Walks well on a leash? For the most part, but he continues to learn. Challenges: Bruno's unfamiliarity with stairs was an initial challenge, but as he becomes more familiar that should work itself out. The crate is also a challenge - he just doesn't like it. Any Medical issues? None What would be the best kind of home? Bruno needs some training and a family/person that is willing to continue teaching him the ways of the world. He's learning STAY and COME but will need to continue work on these and other commands. He is still a puppy, so he needs to get through the chewing phase and learn that there are items that are appropriate for chewing...like actual chews. ;) He would love a home with another dog to play with - he likes to rough-house, but is very good at knowing when to stop or when it's time for a break. He can be somewhat "people needy" so a home where people are present more often than not or are able to take Bruno with them when they come and go would be ideal. This handsome laid-back boy is ready to be someone's sidekick...is it you?
