Description:
Keto is the definition of a “Gentle Giant”. He is a playful pup who is housetrained and crate trained. He is very loving and just wants to be with you. He sleeps through the night, but he has a tendency to snore. He came to us from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has some allergies that are well controlled on medicine. Likes: People, going for walks, being outside, playing tug-of-war, a clean water bowl and treats. Dislikes: Very loud noises (like a dump truck driving by), the vacuum cleaner and the lawn mower. Personality: Playful, loving and gentle. Temperament: Keto is easy to manage. He takes meds with no issues, lets PetSmart clip his nails, is fine with having his ears cleaned, lets you handle and snuggle him, and does very well at the vet. Energy level: Medium. Keto loves going for a walk and would play tug-of-war all day. Favorite activities: Going for a walk, playing tug-of-war, Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6): Yes, Keto is good with dogs and kids (over 6). Not sure how Keto is with cats. Not good with: Nothing other than the very loud noises, vacuum cleaner and the lawn mower. Housetrained: Yes. Crate trained: Yes. ReQuires a fenced yard (physical fence): Keto needs a big, fenced-in yard (no invisible fence, please). He loves to be outside. His favorite spot when he is not outside is sitting in an open door with his head outside smelling everything. Challenges: Keto is a very big dog, weighing in at 190 pounds. He gets excited when you get his leash, so it can be difficult to get out the door in a calm manner, but having treats handy so he will sit helps a lot. If he does not go for a walk, he has some excess energy, and he will try to get you to play until he works off that energy. Keto also slobbers, a lot. Any Medical issues? Keto has allergies, but they are well controlled on his medicine. He takes pills in the morning and the evening. What would be the best kind of home? Keto needs a home with a fenced in yard with a lot of room to wander around. He needs a family that has a lot of time to spend with him and a family that is committed to making sure he takes his medicine. Most of all, Keto needs a family that is going to love him as much as he loves them. Keto is being fostered in Bridgeville, PA. Our rescue policy requires the following:
