Description:
Giana is a Mastiff/Cane Corso/Rottweiler mix that came into our rescue at 14 weeks old weighing just 21 pounds. She is not house trained, but she is very smart and is learning quickly. She came to us with her sister. Likes: snuggles and attention Dislikes: to be cold Personality: Giana is a very friendly, playful puppy. Temperament: Intelligent and eager to learn Energy level: typical puppy – very active then sleeps for 2 hours Favorite activities: likes rope toys and snuggling Good with: eager to meet everyone Not good with: n/a Housetrained: no We are in the process of training her Crate trained: She is quiet and relaxed when crated alone Challenges: She is learning that she needs to have all four feet on the floor before she gets any petting or loving from her human Any Medical issues? None known What would be the best kind of home for Giana? Any older or larger dogs in the house will need to have patience with her while she learns not to jump in their face. It would be best if her humans are familiar with large breed puppies and have the time and energy to train an active puppy. Puppy Adoption Policy: To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months. Puppies will be adopted out on a 'Foster to Adopt' basis. This means that if/when your application is approved to adopt, you sign a contract stating you are fostering the puppy until the time it is neutered/spayed at your expense. Giant breed puppies should not be spayed/neutered before 12 months of age. All non-giant breed puppies must be spayed/neutered by the age of 6 months, unless otherwise recommended by your veterinarian. We will amend the Foster-to-Adopt contract to make the puppy legally yours, only when we receive a spay/neuter certificate from you or your veterinarian. If the puppy is not spayed/neutered as required, we will take possession of the puppy once again. Our rescue policy requires the following:
