Description:Kazoo weighs between 130 and 135 (up about 30 pounds) and is very tall for a female. She is excellent with our cats (including one blind cat!) and generally great with our other two dogs and in day-care as well. If introduced properly she has been great w/ all people.
She does counter surf and knows how to open cabinets and freezer drawers — so we recommend baby-proofing or keeping her out of the kitchen if you want to keep your groceries. She likes bacon and cheese sprinkled on her food for a special treat (who wouldn’t?). She knows all of her basic commands and is 100% house-trained. She likes to sunbathe on the back deck when the weather is nice. Absolutely zero interest in our pool but she likes to drink and play in hose water. She has a truly wonderful personality, especially when she’s feeling relaxed — very affectionate and loving, likes to give kisses. Like most Danes she would love to have a person home full-time — she will play with dog friends but on balance she is much more interested in spending time w/ people.

Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our funds are used for rescuing the dogs.
Our rescue policy requires the following:
- Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina.
- Applications for giant breed dogs must be submitted by the property owner.
- Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption.
- Homes with children should have a fenced yard.
- Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary records will be checked.
- All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home.
- All family members must be present during the home visit to the applicant's home.
- Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being considered, before any adoption can be completed.
